DIY Waxing leaves

Hey guys! Well I got a dozen DIY ideas now, but I realized, that it´s quite hard to get some of the materials I would need to make them. I also wanted to make the photoshooting today, but the weather outside was to windy, cold and clouded. By the way, the bad weather is also the reason why we stayed inside anyway. Actually we planned to go shopping and check out the second hand shop nearby, but nope...we drank chai latte, tea, banana shakes and so on throughout the day with some little snacks, watched some movies I didn´t know yet (Seventh Son, Rio2, Hercules with the Rock) and cuddled a lot. At least in the evening we got a bit productive again and helped to wax some leaves and berries the others collected on their way home. This is such a nice idea! It is easy, fast, inexpensive and a perfect way to decorate your home. You can hang them somewhere with a piece of thread or put them on a plate with some other decor items or even picture frames. Whatever you like, and the awsome thing about this is, that the leaves will keep their great colours until winter. As I said a really nice idea. Hope you like it and find the time to try yourself. Feel hugged. XOXO

What you need:

colourful leaves and berries
3 tealights
1 pot with boiling water
1 old can (big enough for your leaves)
1 or 2 clothes pins
1 underlay (like toilet paper) to dry the leaves/berries

Here is a small idea how to put your DIY somewhere.
By the way: I love this mug...not mine, but still love it.
At first you put the candles into the can and put it into the pot with
the boiling water, that´s how you melt it easily without ruining
one of your pots, you would still like to use for cooking.
Choose your favorite leaves, fetch them with the pin and dip them
into the melted wax for a second. Take it back out and put it on the
pad to let it dry. Be sure the leaves don´t stick to your underlay as
they dry. We made a little pile of already waxed leaves in the end.
As you see the waxed berries look a bit white, that´s because we used tealights. You can also look for some
better wax in a craft store (might cost a bit more, don´t know), but I still like it that way very much.
Oh gosh they are so pretty in the end, you really should try!
