Spring feeling in Hamburg

Hey guys! So it is tuesday and I am again way behind with my posts, but my easter weekend at home was just great. A bit exhausting, what else do you expect from big family meet-ups, but it was fun, wonderful and sunny all along. Christmas and easter at home is still the best. Hope your easter weekend was as beautiful as mine, like mentioned the sun shone during the last three four days. And after all this I am finally into spring mood, not just desperately longing for warmer days, sun and summer, but actually feeling like it is finally springtime. Of course I expect the weather in Germany to be still quite rough or changing a lot, but no matter what...it is spring for heaven´s sake.
And to show this long wanted mood change I dug through my photos again and even found some matching ones from Hamburg. But don´t worry there will be more! Hope to finish the uploads in the evening to show them to you. Feel hugged. XOXO

Favourite shots of the boat trip

Hey guys! So finally you get the last post about Hamburg with some more favourite shots I made on a boat trip. Sorry that I takes me so long again. Fact is either there is so much to do that no time is left to make good photos, or I´m so happy to have to have a day off, and just watch tv or sleep. And once more I hope to have more time in the next few weeks to give you more to enjoy again. At least you know, that there will always bee nice posts even if I´m late again. Feel hugged. XOXO

Levantehouse in Hamburg city

Before one sunset I took the time to take a walk through the city again. Did´t get far but found a really beautiful smal shopping mall and an awesome store. And yes, just had to share all this with you. If you know the shopping mall "Levantehaus", please let me know what you think about it. I was simply stunned. Gotta go there more often, because it is really beautiful. Hope I could capture the atmosphere a bit for you. xoxo

Impressions of Hamburg Harburg

Hey guys! Well told you that I spent most of the time with looking at possible flats in Hamburg and surrounding. Last week I also went to two places in Hamburg Harburg. The thing with looking for a really small flat as a student, especially if you don´t have much money to pay the rent, you are defenitely not the only one. That makes it really hard to find one with a low monthly rent, and that´s why I still don´t have one. But at least I wanted to show you some shots I took there. Hope you like them.

Found this little flower next to a house. I didn´t put it there, but I had to take a photo of it.

Oh in Harburg are many of those houses. They look so good!

"Miami beach", museum´s harbour and boat trip in Hamburg´s harbour

Hey guys! Might not surprise a bit, that I couldn´t resist takinge another boattrip last week. But this time I didn´t stay on the boat (line 62) for the whole tour, instead I hopped off at the museum´s harbour and took a closer look at the old boats, read through some of the descriptions and decided to take a day off for that when it´s warmer. To get fascinated by old boats or ships and their stories is really my thing. So instead of standing there and wishing, to get on deck of one of them, ended up by taking a walk along Hamburg´s "Miami Beach" as I call it. The sandy beach beneath my shoes, the small waves rolling up onto the banks and the cafes you could enjoy a drink or the rocks to simply sit on and watch everything, all this was just perfect for this afternoon. If you get the chance to go there during a sunny weather...do so! I found it great!

For a few seconds I was actually tempted to take off my shoes and let my toes touch the water...but it was too cold.

But I wasn´t the only one tempted.

Finally sunny weather

Oh and you know that for me the best weather is sunny and warm weather. Especially if you have a lot to do during a day it´s just the best to relax just five minutes in the sun and you feel motivated again. In Hamburg is one of my biggest problems, during sunny weather the subway. Told you that I don´t like, that it´s so dark and when the sun is shining you hardly get that down there at all. Anyway we had some nice hours of sunshine throughout the last week, so I really enjoyed it. Inside while making my calls, as well as outside during my trip through the city or while taking a walk to calm down again. What´s your favourite weather? Also sunshine or do you prefer to watch the rain while you snuggle up inside? Please let me know in the comments below.

Oh the living room here is great, but it is even better with the sun
shining in and lighting everything up!

You know, to just relax a bit and watch people passing by or just
staring at the plants, like I did.

In fact I just sat there for half an hour before I left for more meetings.



Walk in the woods

Hey guys! As you know I promised you an update, but lazyness ruled over the weekend, so you had to wait a bit longer. Sorry for that. But now I have a calm hour to show you the rest of my taken photos from Hamburg. Some of you know, that sport is rather important for me. Swimming, jogging, training at home and so on. Here I started to take a look at all the possibilities to go on with this behavior. For that I got shown this forrest area, which is just wonderful I had to share it with you. So hope you like it to. When you are quite enough you even can get really close.

Oh and the trees are astonishing. The bottoms are almost grey and
the tops get more and more intensivly green.

Well there are also some left old areas with broken fences.

Oh see this ivy? Some of the trees are literally covered with it.

Public transport in Hamburg

Hey guys! Let me tell you something: I actually really planned to upload a post a day, you know that, but it was simply to stressful. So you get a proper update again and hopefully, next week will be more relaxing to try out some new photo ideas for you. So to show you what I did last week we gotta start with the public transportation, where I spent a lot of time with. The thing is following: it is still hard for me to estimate the required time when jetting through the city. So most of my time during the day was spent on the subway (to dark and boring without a book or music), the bus (sometimes really crowded, especially in the downtown area) or the ferry boats (loved this most, yes!). However, the city is really big and the transport is actually quite good and I am happy to be able to use them without limits, because it is much better than going by car or bike.

I love going by boat, even if it´s just for fun. It is super
relaxing and especially great with sunny weather.

The subway is fast and punctual most of the time...but dark.

Oh I was so stunned by this! In some bus lines there are those
free Bookshelf, where you can just take out a book and read until
you arrive at your destination. Awesome!

And it´s always good to just go by foot, much more to see.

Hamburg at night (Station Jungfernstieg, Hamburg)

Hey guys! How should a catch up about the time I let you waiting end? Guess some nice photos from Hamburg at night are not a bad idea, right? If you don´t believe that it´s pretty nice around here, come and convince yourself. I like this incredible big city already (especially the harbour of course) and hope that I can stay here for a while and go on with my studies without any more big interruptions. Want to make my family proud and finally show, what I am capable of. wish me luck, probably gonna need it, but I still hope for the best and at least it would be a great time and experience. On board (Hamburg harbour)

Well you know already how much I love being around water, sitting or walking along it, going by boat, ship or whatever or even better go diving or swimming. Love it, you know that right? So it´s no surprise that I made countless photos on this small tour and so I thought to split them into one post about the tour itself and another with the rest of my favorite shots. Hope you like them and be sure there are many more coming up during my time here in Hamburg. You can be sure of that. So please let me know which ones you like best in the comments.

This shot is somehow so nostalgic. It has its very own feeling in a kind of way.

Still not sure what it was exactly, but I really liked the kinda cold atmosphere of the water and the warm red and
bright lights of the ship we took. It´s not only the contast...it´s somehow more than that.

Haha I just like this one...can´t tell you why.

Movement, action, water, ship, colours, power, seems a bit harsh...great!

Here it´s the same thing like with the first one. Nostalgic, different, not very special but intensive in its own way.

Here I actually wanted to show the upper level and it turned out as a quite good photo composition.

I don´t know why I take photos like this. The ground you are standing on is not that interessting, but still it is
part of the whole situation and maybe makes it a bit more intense sometimes.

Yes, I had to end this post with a sunset. So beautiful. By the way you are allowed to climb the building on the
right hand side. There are stairs up to the roof from where you have a great view of course.
