LP - my two favourite songs

Hey do you know the artist LP? I didn´t until a very good friend showed me after he was watching "orange is the new black" and I instantly fell in love with these songs. Check them out. Are there any new songs you found lately and can´t stop listening to? Show me, I´m curious.

Casual cool outfit for rainy day

Hey guys! Well the weather is moody again, so the outfit in the morning, doesn´t always fit for the weather in the afternoon. On the weekend for example I left the house in the morning in some shorts and a bagy shirt...in the afternoon I had to pull out a thin sweater, long trouser and my leather jacket. But have to admit that this casual look seemed so cool, that I felt like a monster hunter or something similar. With other words, it was kinda fun and needed to share that with you guys. Hope you like it. Feel hugged. xoxo

Simple but cool, right?
Here you go: Leather jacket, thin dark grey sweater, sportsbra and
my favourite necklace from my BF and my moon circle necklace.
Couldn´t paint my nails black, not enough time, but I found this old vinyl record...ideas for DIY?
Over night I had my hair braided and opened it up in the afternoon...hunter feeling like I said.
Oh yes, this was really fun!

DIY Candle garden in a jar

Hey guys! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. I had to prepare a presentation for thursday and it´s still not finished...really annoying. Anyway thought it might be a nice idea to show you more of my fake bonfire lately. Well it is less a fake bonfire than a small jar-garden, that didn´t turn out how it should, so I added a nice candle. Hope you like it even though it is an emergancy solution. Do you like such ideas? Should I do more versions of jar inspirations? Let me know.

It is as simple as it looks, guess that´s why I like it so much.
Just take a jar and candle you like. I went simple with that one from Ikea and a white bit bigger candle.
Fill it up with smaller stones on the bottom, go on with bigger ones and than push your candle a bit into in, so it stands good, after that you can "plant" some nice flowers around it or, like me, just add some plants around your candle to give it  a last colourful an nature-touched feeling. Víola! That´s it.
As you see: It looks gorgeous when you light it up in the evening.

Old Litha (my day)

Hey guys! Well apparently I was fooled by the weatherforecast, because it was stormy and heavy raining all day long. The thunder was even that loud, that I got really scared of it and went downstairs to train with very loud music. Anyway there was like one hour of sunshine in the late afternoon and I used it to make at least three nice photos for you. Hope you Litha was nicer today and you were able to use some of my inspirations and ideas. Let me know, if you did. Feel hugged. xoxo

All about the colours. Amazing how many blue, yellow and green shades there were.
I really like taking photos like this, especially if there are such nice light effects as here.
And can we appreciate for a moment, how magical this shot looks like?
The colours again and the light and well I don´t know, I simply love it.

Old Litha (what to do)

Well but what could you do to celebrate this day beside some witchy or pagan rituals, that seem kinda wierd sometimes? I could tell you some crazy and extraordinary ideas, but we know, that we need some more settled ways to re-celebrate Litha. What you can always do is place some nice candles next to your door (on each side one). So everytime you leave your home/room and come back you can feel yourself purified and enforced by the flames you pass through. Anyway some nicly situated candles and warm coloured things like some orange pillows in your living room or bright yellow and red flowers on your kitchen table will make you smile all along. I like to preform some of my ideas outside (here in the park nearby) and just enjoy nature and sunshine as long as possible.

If you want to know more about the origins of Litha and what else you could do, check out this short video I found on Youtube. There was a lot of slightly wierd stuff, but this old lady was just cute, informative and really nice to listen to.
So enjoy if you want to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06rvcqfgOP0

Start the day with an early walk, maybe also look for a nice place
to watch the sunrise with a hot tea and a warm blanket, if needed.
I really like to take a closer look at some leaves or flowers to find
out which ones I like most. Depending on the colour, the shape,
how it feels or where to find it. You can even "harvest" some plants
you like a lot and put in a small vase next to you working place.
This will remind you of the beautiful feeling you had at your walk.
Don´t want to put them in a vase? No problem, find something else
to do with them that makes you happy and smile. Always could just
put them in your hair like I did or even make a wreath out of them
and wear it as a Litha crown.
Saw this idea a while ago and I love it. Why not making a mandala instead of drawing one?
Go outside, sit down somewhere nice and get some flowers, leaves and sticks and creat your own mandala.
This was a lot of fun and I´ll sure do that more often.
Close waters anywhere? Great. Make leaveboats and let the swim
while making a whish or saying thanks.
We were talking about bringing outside in our home. Those mason jar idea seems kinda worn out at some point I know, but you gotta admit...it looks great, is easy, cheap and brings flair to your home in a beautful way.
Even when you just got very little time...lie down and enjoy the
small things in life, they are worth it.
I actually wanted to make a small bonfire tomorrow, but this will
probably won´t work, so I created a little candle garden in my jar.
Not quite a bonfire, but somehow close, right?

Old Litha (what to eat)

Litha is a day of fruits and vegetables in general, but I didn´t want to go all veggie/vegan for that day, so here are some really easy and super delicious ideas for tomorrow. Tried them and love them. Let me know if you would like to see more recipe ideas on my blog?

Tried this pancake mixture lately and it is delicious, so for tomorrow I recommend vanilla-blueberry-pancakes  and a yummy drink, no matter if coffee, tea, water or a fruity juice, as long as you like it.
I´ll start the day with scented water again.
This is nothing special actually but I love how colourful it looks
and you can snack fruits in the end.
And as we talk about snacks...enjoy some greentea and fruits whenever you feel like it.
Another easy meal to make for yourself and/or friends is a
potatoe pan with paprika and any kind of meat.
Chop everything, throw it in your pan and roast it with some herbs.
In the evening you could always end your day with a nice big salad.

Old Litha (what to wear)

So beside the colour white, which is wonderful for a summer day anyway you can also wear any warm colours. Red, yellow, brown, orange, beige and so on. The most important thing here is of cause, that you feel great, happy and kinda powerful in whatever you wear, if you know what I mean. My white summer dress is still in Austria so I´m gonna go with red and brown shades. Furthermore different to Midsommar for example, where people like to braid their hair, mine just stay open, so they can wildly fly around when I dance or run through nature. What would you like to wear on such a day? Let me know in the comments or even better, show me pictures.

I´ll wear my red skater skirt together with a basic redish tank top
from C&A and my black high shoes from H&M.
For jewelery I´ll go with some nice bracelets and these two necklaces.
I´ll also wear my favourite necklace from my BF and open hair.

Old Litha (25th June)

Hey guys! So now that I finally got out of bed again. The hard changing weather took ist price. Got sick and had some hard days, but everythings fine again, don´t worry. Well while bound to my bed I had another idea for my last Litha post. To be honest, it was really sad, that I couldn´t make a proper post eventhough I had so many ideas that needed to be shared. Furthermore it was so great to get confronted with this nice idea, so can´t leave it like this. If some of you are witches or pagans, you might know that you can celebrate Litha on actually two days of the year: 21st and 25th June. First one is connected to the longest day of the year, when the power of the sun is on its hight and the second day is more a traditional thing from older times called "Old Litha". As you know I couldn´t quite celebrate Litha on tuesday, because of the weather, so why not take the second date tomorrow and use some sunny hours? In case you had similar problems or simply no time, don´t worry I got you covered. The following posts will show you some of the activities I tried today and if you like we can all re-celebrate Litha together tomorrow. Beneath you have a short explanation about the Summer Solstice as such and mainly the pagan aspects of it. Found this on Pinterest and was pretty impressed by the good overview. Hope you like it. Feel hugged. xoxo

Happy Summer Solstice! (inspirational board)

Hey guys! Did you know? Today is the longest day of the year, summerstart and summer solstice. What a good reason to celebrate right? A friend of mine asked me to upload some nice ideas on how to party this nice day and sadly I couldn´t make many photos because of the weather, but I still got your back, don´t worry. While researching for ideas I thought to give you my favourite inspirations instead of remaining with a lack of photos. So later on in the evening, I will show you what I actually did today. If you celebrated today, please show me photos! Would love to see what you guys were up to! Oh and you might also know today by the names Litha, Midsommar or Alban Heruin. So let´s start with some inspirations right?

Some random shots

Oh and even though the weater was bad during the last weeks I again made some shots, that I really like, but which don´t actually fit into a post for a certain topic. So I got them mixed together in a random one, to just show them to you. Hope you like them, because I actually do.

It was wierd, but I think I watched this snail for about 15 minutes.
I cerntainly need more time to read the books I want and my television to finally watch my movies again.
Well you know I take shots of flowers every now and then.
Oh and this was next to a cafe. Looks so cool!

Camera works again...kind of

Okay it seems like I have to fully load my camera´s battery so I can use it for a few hours, but not many, before it starts to give up again. That is really annoying and quite a bad time for me to actually go and buy a new one. It sucks. Anyway we had like one or two hours of sunshine, so I grabbed my cam and took some photos. Not the ones I wanted to, because it was still to cold for that, but you know at least I was outside and made something instead of getting desperate over some books I have to read for University.

A walk through the neighborhood (Eimsbüttel)

Oh right, one nice thing I did, eventhough it started raining that evening, was following. I took a walk through the neigbourhood, because Eimsbüttel is a pretty prosperous district somehow. At least the house facades seem so. So I took a walk and tried to make nice photos of my favourite entrances here in the street. Hope you like them even though they are phone pics again.
Right now many of the bushes bloom.
So here we start...
Don´t know why, but this one reminds me of Bruxelles.
This one is my absolute favourite.
And the matching garden to the last entrance...awesome right?
Well the flowers in there were just to pretty, to not take a photo.
You don´t see it well here, but it was already raining.
And my thin sweater was defenitely to cold, that day.

Harbour on a rainy day

So I told you about the bad weather here and thought to at least give it a try and take myself some time at the harbour to cheer up again. But that didn´t help much last time. It was very windy and kinda cold and the sun just couldn´t get through these damn clouds. Wish the weather gets better soon, so I can lie in the sun and reload my own batteries.

I even edited this photo and it is still just dark.
Oh but the"Queen Mary II" is currently here in Hamburg.
And I found this one souvenir store with actually nice things.
But besides that, the weather was just to dark and cloudy to actually
enjoy it a lot this time...and my camera wouldn´t work. So made
these photos with my phone...sorry for the bad Quality.
Maybe it would have been much nicer, you know, if I had a friend here to just sit there and drink some coke or something.
