Gardetag Hochosterwitz! Tradition-day of our guard!

So last time in Austira we had the Tradition-day of our guard on the 1st of may. That´s a big day for us and even though it was raining there were many people to join us, what was simply great! We started in our Angle´s gate, where we opened our own small museum for visitors to take a look at. Here you can get an historical insight of our guard from the early renaissance until today. Then we headed on to the church and further up the castle where we honored and promoted some of our members and visitors. A few days later our earl Kari Khevenhüller became honorary consul of spain. so you see we had a lot to do and it was amazingly great! I so love to be part of all this. Whenever you get the chance to check out Castle Hochosterwitz, do so! It is so worth it!

On the left our Angle´s gate and on the right across the bidge you enter the Lion´s gate.
My collegue on his watch.
My phone makes really bad photos sometimes sorry, but here you got the blurred view onto Castle Hochosterwitz from the
nearby Castle Niederosterwitz. (Sorry, but you can´t visit the last one).
And here I got some shots from our small guard museum for you. Go there and take a look yourself!
Our guarding angle Saint Michael.
I really like the ideas we put in here!
